Yakitori Bunraku

Must try yakitori ! Very authentic and locals ~ great vibes ~ staff are so cool !

This restaurant situated along the busy side walk and under the train tracks, came here as it seemed popular amongst locals. Serving skewers and appetizers, skewers were delicious can be served as sauce or salt. Highly recommend the chicken skin and heart but not the tsukune (chicken meatball) English menu available. Outdoor seating and between tables it’s quite tight but enjoyed the vibe.

The food here was good. They had lots of vegan options - grilled leek and shiitake mushrooms, they had simmered tofu (the fried tofu was sold out but looked good!) as well as salads (we had the seaweed salad, and the spicy cucumber). This was great for travelling with non-vegan / veg people, my partner enjoyed the meat yakitori - he especially liked the pork belly.

From the simmered tofu to the thick fried tofu, each bite was a revelation of texture and taste. The chicken thighs, whether seasoned with shio or miso garlic, were juicy and packed with flavor, while the chicken hearts and meatballs added a delightful twist to our feast. And who could forget the quail eggs, fresh tomatoes, and spicy pickled cucumbers, each adding their own flair to the culinary extravaganza! In the midst of the bustling street, Yakitori Bunraku stood as an oasis of culinary delight, leaving us craving more with every bite. With memories of laughter, newfound friendships, and a belly full of deliciousness, one thing's for sure – we'll definitely be back for another round of chaotic fun!
